Welcome to Final Fantasy XI Answers. What would you like to know?

Seems to be the weekend for software problems. When it comes to FFXI there can be a myriad of different problems that can crop up when it comes to different operating systems so I went to my good friend Google and looked up a couple different threads that I thought might help.

I'm not even going to begin to try to break down any of the various problems or solutions that you can try here, I'll leave it up to you to go check out the forum threads to see what the more knowledgeable players have to say about what they have done with their systems. That's because most the time when my FFXI has F'd upped when the new operating system has been introduced when I buy a new computer typically what I do is get mad as hell starts screaming throwing things around and then.......... quietly leave the room and let my ex-husband fix it.. Usually it's safer that way for all parties concerned. I do know programs, I was an accountant for the government for 30 years, and I knew our programs as well as the commercial programs that we had to use inside it out, I could make them sit up bark speak beg so forth so on but sometimes these other programs just drive me freaking crazy.

So here's what I'm going to suggest, check out the threads below that I've pasted the links. If you can't find your answer there go to and start a new thread there regarding this subject. It is a very active forum and they'll be a lot of people there that will probably jump right on it to give you a lots of advice and help. I did include a link from, but it's was a forum thread from 2012, so it's a good chance it's outdated information. And if it is outdated information the best place to look for up-to-date information would be within the FFXI community. Good luck I know how frustrating this can be.
