I'm going to answer this question with the assumption that you've never been to Kazham. You have to do a mini quest, farming chest keys that you will turn into an NPC in Jeuno, who after a cut scene will issue you the Kazham Airship Pass, which is a permanent item. You will have to pass through the port of Kazham before you can zone out into the Yuhtunga Jungle. This will also give you access to the adjacent Yhoator Jungle, Sea Serpents Grotto, Norg, Ifrit's Cauldron, Teleport-Yhoat and the Outpost for this region, which is located in the Yuhtunga Jungle.
MAKE SURE TO PURCHASE THE MAPS FOR THESE AREAS OR YOU WILL BE SERIOUSLY SCREWED!!!!
You're going to need to have the Rise of the Zilart expansion installed. There is no prep work that you have to do in Jeuno, just head out to the three different nations areas to get started and it's fairly straightforward once you get going. I pasted a link to the quest below that will walk you through what you need to do to gather the items that you will need to turn in to obtain the Kazham Airship Pass.
The mobs that you will be farming from are the higher-level mobs in those areas but even the NMs in these areas won't give you much trouble if you have a high level job, level 60 or higher with a Theif would make life so much eaiser for you.
If you don't have a high level job, ask around. You will be surprised at the number of higher level players who will take the time to help you out to farm keys at one if not all three areas. My husband and I do it on a regular basis and we enjoy helping other players out. But we are on Cerberus. If you are on Cerberus and need help farming, send me an email at email@example.com and I can hook you up with my hubby. Both our main characters have any job that would be needed.
Good luck farming. Word of advice on the jungle. The maps will drive you out of your mind. You will eventually learn your way around by memory after getting lost a 1,000 times. Plus everything on the jungle floor will aggro you if you are low enough level. Keep an eye out for Tonberries and keep your hate with them low. Link below for info on those guys.
